It's Sweater Day!

Join us for warm sweater Wednesday! Even though we have the heat a little higher than usual with the baby, I still manage to turn it down just a little during the day. If you can, put on a sweater and slippers and turn that heat down for the day. If we all do, it adds up to a lot less energy used across the world. And if you do it regularly, you'll save a few cents on your bill, too!

Hi Jackie - glad to hear you are doing well and nice to see the blog is still up. Any ideas about where to recycle and old big freezer?

This is a good question, but I have to admit that I don't know where to recycle a freezer. if it's working, you might be able to share it on craiglist or freecycle, but if it's big and inefficient, it might be better to retire it. I'd suggest contacting BC hydro to ask them as they do have a fridge recycling option and they might be able to direct you to a company that recycles freezers.
